I am a Postpartum Doula and Certified Newborn Care Specialist with over 22 years of experience with young children. From preschools and daycares to being a private nanny, I’ve spent many years as a professional in facilitating early learning and proper development.

I started volunteering in childcare environments at the age of 18 and then went on to become a paid employee. From there, I was a student at Georgia Perimeter College earning two years of credit towards an education degree. Throughout attending college, I spent my afternoons with the Pre-K at The Sunshine House. I also spent much of my time covering infant rooms when needed.
Becoming a parent was joyful, being a full-time caregiver was the highlight of my life. As my child became of preschool age, I began to work at Faith Lutheran Church And School. At that time, I was invested in the education of the Kindergarten through second grade. For two years I kept up with homework assistance and during the summer, I worked with the pre-K full-time.

MORE ABOUT ME
Over the last 8 years I’ve been employed privately with families of infants. I have worked full-time as a nanny for many families. I spent my days teaching manners, taking children to music class, singing songs and teaching baby sign language. I’ve always stayed committed to families. My longest position was for two doctors, two kids, for five years.
Since spending so much of my time with infants I decided to merge my career path in that direction. During this past year Iv’e worked over an eight month period to graduate from Newborn Care Solutions. I then went on to become certified in Newborn Care Specialty. I then changed focus to the Postpartum Doula side of things. At that point I knew I had truly found my calling!
